We’ll Crush Threats, Sustain Peace in Kaduna — Gov Sani

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has declared that his administration will not allow a return to the era of violence, vowing to deal decisively with any individual or group attempting to undermine the prevailing peace in the state.

Speaking at a State Security Council meeting held at the Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, the governor warned against the politicisation of insecurity, stressing that his government remains resolute in its constitutional duty to protect lives and property.

According to him, “We are not unaware of those testing our resolve. We are closely monitoring developments and are prepared to act. Kaduna will not go back to a past defined by fear, violence, and division. That chapter is closed.”

Sani maintained that since the inception of his administration on May 29, 2023, the state has not recorded incidents of ethno-religious or farmer-herder conflicts, attributing the progress to proactive security measures.

He explained that his government has prioritised grassroots intelligence gathering, stronger collaboration with traditional and religious leaders, and improved coordination among security agencies.

Describing the Kaduna peace model as central to his administration’s strategy, the governor said it is anchored on inclusivity, intelligence-driven operations, inter-agency synergy, and community participation.

“Our approach has shifted from reactive responses to proactive prevention. Intelligence remains our most critical asset, enabling early threat detection, disruption of criminal networks, and prevention of escalation,” he said.

While noting that the state is gaining recognition for its coordinated security framework, Sani stressed the need for sustained vigilance among residents.

He also commended President Bola Tinubu for supporting states through enhanced security coordination and institutional reforms.

The governor further lauded the efforts of security personnel, particularly the Minister of Defence, for their commitment and sacrifices in safeguarding lives.

“You operate under difficult conditions yet remain steadfast. Kaduna State appreciates your service and stands firmly with you,” he added.
