Yabrade, a former House of Representatives aspirant for Warri Federal Constituency, said he would not abandon the party despite what he described as sustained efforts to marginalise him.
According to him, the situation worsened following the defection of members from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) into the APC.
“Since decampees from the PDP joined the APC, there have been several moves to reduce me in the party,” he said.
The APC stalwart, who traced his political journey from the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) to the formation of the APC, highlighted his roles in party development at the grassroots and national levels.
“I became the pioneer secretary of the APC in Warri South West LGA in 2014. I participated in all the registration processes and was a national delegate during the 2014 presidential primaries,” he stated.
Despite the challenges, Yabrade maintained that he would continue to assert his influence in the party and the Warri Federal Constituency.
“I will not run away from the house I built, neither will I vacate my sweat for others to harvest,” he said.
He added, “I am still a member of the party and going nowhere. I will shock you all, especially the political actors in Warri Federal and the senatorial zone.”
