Lagos to Resume Monthly Sanitation Exercise April 25

The Lagos State Government has announced the resumption of its monthly environmental sanitation exercise, beginning on Saturday, April 25, 2026.

Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, disclosed that the exercise will hold on the last Saturday of every month between 6:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.

The announcement follows the symbolic relaunch of the sanitation programme at Idi-Oro in Mushin Local Government Area.

Wahab called on residents to actively participate by cleaning their surroundings, clearing drainage channels, and ensuring proper waste disposal.

He stressed that maintaining a clean environment is a collective responsibility essential for a healthier and flood-resilient Lagos.

The commissioner added that compliance with the exercise would be strictly enforced by the state government.
