In an emotional post shared on her Instagram page on Monday, Adeyemo said her father “fought so hard” but that God “loved him more and called him home to rest.” She appealed to fans and well-wishers for understanding, noting that she is not in the right state of mind to respond to messages at this time.
“My dad fought so hard, but God loved him more and called him home to rest. I never imagined I would feel this shattered and broken. Losing a parent is a pain I wouldn’t wish on anyone,” she wrote.
She added, “I see all your calls and messages, but I’m not in the right state of mind to respond right now. I will get back when I can. Thank you for all the love. The pain runs so deep, losing the one God used to create you.”
The cause of her father’s death and the exact date were not disclosed.
Seilat Adeyemo, who began her career in the early 2000s, rose to prominence with her performance in the 2013 movie Imoran. She has established herself as a notable figure in the Yoruba film sector, featuring in numerous films over the years.
