Eid-el-Fitr: Tinubu Urges Muslims To Sustain Sacrifice, Pray For National Unity

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Muslim faithful across Nigeria on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, urging them to uphold the lessons of Ramadan through patriotism, compassion and prayers for national peace.

In a goodwill message released on Friday through his spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, the President called on Muslims to remain committed to the virtues of piety, selflessness, perseverance and love for humanity beyond the fasting period.

Tinubu said the spiritual discipline observed during Ramadan should inspire renewed dedication to national development and peaceful coexistence among citizens.

According to him, Nigerians have much to gain by sustaining the noble values learnt during the holy month, particularly at a period when unity and collective responsibility are needed for the country’s progress.

He also urged Muslim faithful to extend acts of kindness to the less privileged, irrespective of religious background, as part of efforts to strengthen harmony and mutual understanding in society.

The President further appealed to Islamic leaders and worshippers to use the Eid celebration to offer prayers for enduring peace, stability and prosperity in Nigeria.
