Eid-el-Fitr: Akpabio, Oyebamiji, APC Scribe Urge Peace, Generosity

President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has congratulated Muslims in Nigeria on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, marking the end of Ramadan.

In a message signed by his media aide, Eseme Eyiboh, Akpabio urged Muslims to uphold the values of compassion, forgiveness, and unity, while continuing acts of charity and love for one another. He also extended prayers for peace, progress, and prosperity for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all Nigerians.

Similarly, the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate for the 2026 Osun election, Bola Oyebamiji, sent Eid greetings to Muslims across Osun State, commending their devotion during Ramadan. He encouraged residents to sustain virtues such as patience, discipline, and sacrifice in building a peaceful and progressive state.

Oyebamiji also stressed the importance of visionary leadership to drive economic growth, job creation, youth empowerment, and improved infrastructure, while urging unity across religious and ethnic lines.

In the same vein, the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Ajibola Basiru, called on Muslims to sustain the spiritual discipline of Ramadan beyond the fasting period.

Basiru urged Nigerians to continue praying for national peace and unity, while also supporting government efforts to tackle insecurity and advance economic reforms under the current administration.

The leaders collectively emphasised the need for compassion, generosity, and unity, calling on Nigerians to work together towards a peaceful and prosperous nation.
