Plateau governor sacks six appointees, suspends commission chairman

Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State has approved the immediate dismissal of six political appointees as part of efforts to improve governance and service delivery.

 

The decision was conveyed in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Samuel Jatau.

 

Jatau said the move was aimed at repositioning the administration for greater efficiency and aligning it with its policy priorities.

 

Those affected are Timothy Golu, Gwottson Fom, Nanbol Rimvyat, Nannim Langyi, Paul Datugum, and Nimchak Rims, who served in various liaison and advisory capacities.

 

In a related development, the governor also approved the suspension of the Chairman of the Plateau State House of Assembly Service Commission, Johnbull Shakarau, over alleged misconduct.

 

The suspension will remain in effect pending the outcome of investigations, according to the statement.

 

The government expressed appreciation to the affected officials for their service and directed them to return all government property in their possession immediately.
