NGF condemns Maiduguri suicide bombings
The Nigeria Governors’ Forum, NGF, has condemned the multiple suicide bombings in Maiduguri, describing the attacks as shocking and despicable.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Forum’s Chairman, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, said the incidents represent a reckless waste of human lives and are both evil and unacceptable.
The Forum called on security agencies to intensify efforts to degrade the capacity of terrorists and prevent further attacks.
It also expressed condolences to the government and people of Borno State over the tragic development.
The NGF reaffirmed its solidarity with the state, pledging continued collaboration with the Federal Government to defeat terrorism across the country.
The Forum further condemned what it described as cowardly attacks on civilians and government facilities, while assuring security forces of its continued support in ending the menace.
