Super Eagles friendlies against Jordan, Iran shifted to Turkey
Nigeria’s Super Eagles will now play friendly matches against Jordan and Iran in Antalya, Turkey, the Jordan Football Association (JFA) has confirmed.
The matches, part of a four-nation invitational tournament, were originally scheduled for Amman, Jordan, but have been relocated due to the ongoing Middle East conflict.
“The Jordan Football Association has decided to move the matches of the four-team international friendly tournament, scheduled for March 2026, to Antalya, Turkey, due to the current situation in the region and limited movement of people,” the JFA said on its website.
The dates remain unchanged, with Nigeria first facing Iran on Friday, March 27, followed by a clash with first-time World Cup qualifiers Jordan four days later. Costa Rica is also set to participate in the tournament.
The relocation ensures the Super Eagles maintain their preparation schedule ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
