The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has fixed April 14, 2026, for its national convention as part of a nationwide process aimed at restructuring its leadership organs across all levels.

In a timetable released by the party, ward congresses are scheduled for April 7, local government congresses for April 9, while state congresses will take place on April 11, ahead of the national convention. The party, however, did not disclose the venue for the convention.

The notice, jointly signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, and the National Organising Secretary, Chinedu Idigo, directed members interested in contesting vacant positions to obtain and submit nomination and expression of interest forms through the party’s official platform.

According to the party, the exercise is in line with its constitutional responsibility to renew leadership structures from the ward level through local government and state chapters, culminating in the national convention.

ADC urged members across the country to participate actively in the process and adhere strictly to the party’s constitution, guidelines and democratic principles throughout the exercise.
