The Osun State Chapter of the Accord Party has expressed joy over the official publication of His Excellency, Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, as the party’s governorship candidate for the August 8, 2026 election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
In a statement issued on Monday by the State Chairman, Pastor Victor Babalola Akande, the party described INEC’s affirmation as not just a procedural milestone but a historic moment for Accord in Osun State.
“It is a privilege for Accord to present to the electorate the most widely embraced governor in Nigeria. This is a political era that replaces recycled excuses of failure with the reality of accelerated development across our state,” the statement read.
Pastor Akande said INEC’s publication, in strict compliance with the Electoral Act and the election timetable, marks the beginning of a decisive journey for the state, urging residents to remain focused and united.
“The people of Osun, who have consistently demonstrated commitment to progress, peace, and continuity, must rally as a united force. August 8, 2026, is a victory date in waiting,” he added.
The Accord chairman also called on all residents, stakeholders, and supporters to sustain the prosperous path laid by Governor Adeleke and ensure the party’s success in the forthcoming poll.
