The Presidency has disclosed details of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s recent engagement with Turkish officials, highlighting a focus on actionable outcomes in the Nigeria-Türkiye partnership.
Speaking to Arise Television in Ankara on Tuesday, Special Adviser on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, said the President is committed to ensuring that bilateral relations translate into tangible benefits for both nations.
“President Tinubu asked how we can create economic opportunities and address terrorism effectively. He is focused on deliverables, not just agreements on paper,” Bwala stated.
He added that the discussions were structured around timelines and measurable results, covering areas such as defense cooperation, security, higher education, science and technology, and intelligence exchange.
“If there is anything to highlight from the talks, it is the ease with which we can reach understanding with countries genuinely interested in investing. Over the years, both Nigeria and Türkiye have benefited from proactive engagement by their governments and people,” Bwala said.
The Presidential spokesman emphasized that the current administration is determined to ensure that agreements signed during such meetings yield immediate and visible results for Nigerians.
