Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has announced new appointments in his ongoing cabinet reshuffle, including the removal of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Olanike Adeyemo.
A statement released on Monday by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Dr. Sulaimon Olanrewaju, confirmed that Prof. Musibau Adetunji Babatunde has been appointed as the new SSG with immediate effect.
The statement also indicated that Mr. Seun Ashamu, formerly of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, has been redeployed to head the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning.
In addition, the Governor has nominated Ademola Aderinto, his Senior Special Assistant on Public Works, as a commissioner-designate. He will be presented to the Oyo State House of Assembly for screening.
Other appointments announced include Mr. Abiodun Adedoja as Special Adviser on Energy Security and Kolawole Akanmu as Senior Special Assistant on Budget and Economic Planning.
