Tinubu hails Uba Sani at 55, credits him with restoring peace, trust in Kaduna

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, on his 55th birthday, praising his leadership style and describing him as a unifying figure who has restored peace and trust across communities in the state.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the President reflected on Governor Sani’s life journey, noting that his struggles and triumphs offer enduring lessons, particularly to younger Nigerians committed to nation-building.

Tinubu recalled Sani’s role during Nigeria’s military era, commending his courage and principled stance in defence of justice, freedom and national unity at a time when such values were under severe threat.

According to the President, Governor Sani embraced early in life a clear and noble purpose — the pursuit of a free, egalitarian and inclusive society — not for personal gain, but for the collective good of the people.

He said the governor has brought a refreshing and inclusive tone to governance in Kaduna, helping to heal long-standing ethnic and religious divisions.

“Through his deliberate and inclusive governance model, Governor Sani has united the people, restored confidence in leadership and rebuilt trust across communities,” Tinubu said.

He noted that Kaduna, once plagued by persistent communal tensions and insecurity, has witnessed renewed calm and cohesion under the current administration.

The President singled out Birnin Gwari as a notable example, saying the area, previously crippled by banditry, has experienced a revival, with farmers returning to their lands and agricultural activities gaining momentum.

Tinubu attributed the security gains to the governor’s strategy of engaging traditional rulers, religious leaders and local communities as critical partners in peacebuilding and development.

He added that the administration’s strides in infrastructure development, healthcare delivery, industrial growth and agriculture demonstrate a clear understanding that development must be people-centred and equitable.

“By reconnecting communities, expanding access to quality healthcare and empowering farmers as engines of food security and economic stability, Governor Sani has repositioned Kaduna for sustainable growth and long-term prosperity,” the President said.

Tinubu also described Governor Sani as a dependable ally of the Federal Government, applauding his commitment to the ideals of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and his active support for the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

According to him, Sani’s leadership reflects a firm belief that democracy must translate into tangible benefits for the people.
