Adeleke Hails Makinde as ‘Development Champion’ on 58th Birthday

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has described his Oyo State counterpart, Engr. Seyi Makinde, as “a strong agent of development, innovation and transformation” while felicitating him on his 58th birthday anniversary.

According to Mallam Olawale Rasheed, spokesperson to the Osun governor, Adeleke said Makinde is “a child of destiny, a man of grace and a leader with a fixated mind for public good, public service and public welfare.” He added that the Oyo governor’s life journey embodies divine grace and blessings.

“I have met and associated with many leaders over the years; however, my brother Seyi stands out as a unique personality, a brilliant mind, and a leader who can stand alone when defending his principles and convictions,” Adeleke said. He added that Makinde’s determination has positively reshaped Oyo politics and the broader regional political space.

The Osun governor also highlighted Makinde’s innovative approach to governance, noting that his policies and programmes have “holistically transformed Oyo State.” Adeleke pointed out that the Oyo governor’s ability to deliver mega projects efficiently and in line with best practices underscores his competence as an administrator.

Adeleke prayed for continued blessings for Makinde, describing him as “a fearless patriot, a committed democrat, and an innovator for good governance.” He urged the celebrant to remain steadfast in his commitment to the people and democracy, emphasizing their shared vision on good governance, public welfare, pro-masses politics, and the delivery of democratic dividends.

“Interestingly, my brother Seyi shares his birthday with our Lord, Jesus Christ. It is no surprise he strives to be Christ-like in all his endeavors. Enjoy your day, brother, as I wish you more blessings on behalf of the people and government of Osun State,” Adeleke concluded.
