The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced the temporary closure of its National Secretariat as part of its end-of-year break, with full operations set to resume in the new year.
In a statement on Tuesday, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, said the Secretariat would close on December 23, 2025, and reopen on January 5, 2026.
Abdullahi explained that only essential skeletal services would be maintained during the break, while all other official activities at the Secretariat would be suspended to allow staff and party officials to observe the Christmas and New Year holidays.
“This is to inform the public that the African Democratic Congress National Secretariat will close for the year on 23rd December 2025 and will resume full operations on 5th January 2026,” he stated.
The party also expressed appreciation to its members, partners, and supporters for their loyalty and cooperation throughout the year, reiterating that their continued support remains critical to the growth and stability of the ADC.
“The ADC sincerely appreciates the support of its members, partners, and well-wishers, and extends warm wishes for a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year,” the statement added.
Abdullahi further reaffirmed the party’s commitment to its ideals and democratic engagement as it prepares for its activities in 2026.
