Osun Governor’s New Party Sparks Hope and Unity Across Divides

Excitement and anticipation are sweeping Osun State as Governor Ademola Adeleke prepares to announce his new political party today, a move expected to reshape the state’s political landscape ahead of the 2026 elections.

While the governor’s close allies remain tight-lipped about his choice, many residents and politicians alike are expressing optimism about what the new party could mean for governance and inclusivity.

In recent days, a remarkable cross-party movement has emerged. Leaders and members from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) are reportedly rallying to support any party the governor embraces.

A politician involved in the coalition said, “This is about more than party politics. People across Osun are drawn to the governor because of his performance and integrity. Whether you are fed up with your current party or simply inspired by his leadership, you want to be part of this journey.”

Another APC member echoed the sentiment, highlighting a growing sense of unity. “From Ife to Ilesa, many of us feel disillusioned with party politics. Adeleke’s leadership gives hope, and we are ready to follow him into a new chapter for Osun State.”

Observers note that the governor’s departure from the PDP has created space for collaboration across political divides. A source close to the governor said, “People who couldn’t join him before now feel free to support him. Once the new party is announced, expect a movement of hearts and minds from across the state’s political spectrum.”

For many residents, the excitement goes beyond politics. “It’s refreshing to see leaders prioritising service and performance over party loyalty,” said one local supporter. “This is about the kind of leadership that touches people’s lives.”

With a coalition forming behind him, Governor Adeleke’s move signals a new era of hope, unity, and people-centered politics in Osun State, reminding everyone that governance is ultimately about service to the people, not party labels.
