Bassey Picks Osimhen Over Haaland as More Complete Striker

Fulham and Super Eagles defender, Calvin Bassey, has described his international teammate, Victor Osimhen, as a more complete striker than Manchester City’s Erling Haaland.

Speaking in an interview with Habersarikirmizi, Bassey hailed the Nigerian forward’s exploits in European football and for the national team.

“Osimhen is better than Haaland; he’s more difficult to play against. Sorry, Haaland,” Bassey said. “He is incredible. What he has achieved for his country and in the Champions League is truly remarkable. He’s a lethal striker.”

Bassey admitted mixed feelings about Osimhen’s move to Galatasaray, saying: “I was happy and sad at the same time that he didn’t come to the Premier League. It would have been good for him, but I’m glad I didn’t have to face him.”

The Fulham defender added: “He’s at a very big club now and doing incredible things.”

Osimhen has continued to impress since joining Galatasaray, making headlines with decisive goals and standout performances in domestic and continental competitions.
