BREAKING: Musa Vows Zero Tolerance for Banditry, Terrorism as Defence Minister

The designated Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa, has pledged a zero-tolerance approach to banditry and terrorism once he officially assumes office.

Speaking during his senatorial screening in Abuja on Wednesday, Musa assured lawmakers that his tenure would be marked by firm and decisive measures to tackle the country’s security challenges.

The former Chief of Defence Staff emphasized that his administration would not hesitate to deploy the full force of the armed forces against criminal elements threatening communities.

He stated, “There will be zero policy on anything banditry or terrorism under my watch. We are going to go out. I will ensure the armed forces operate fully because security is localised.”

Musa’s comments come amid growing concerns over banditry and terrorist activities across Nigeria, prompting calls for stronger military and security interventions.

Details on his proposed strategies are expected in the coming weeks.
