There comes a time in a state’s political journey when loud voices no longer inspire confidence. When drama exhausts, and the people quietly search for something different calmer, thoughtful, and human. For me, that person is Rt. Hon. Najeem Folasayo Salaam.

This is not about slogans or staged charisma; it is about character. In a political climate that rewards noise-makers, Salaam’s quiet strength is refreshing. He embodies composure, restraint, and emotional intelligence qualities Osun desperately needs.

Osun politics is rough. Factions, personal battles, and loud confrontations dominate the landscape. Yet Salaam has consistently shown a calm, measured approach. Even when overlooked or sidelined, he chose restraint over revenge. He governs without personal grudges, vendettas, or bitterness. a rarity in our state.

He listens. Truly listens. Across Ejigbo and Osun West, communities recognize his quiet interventions and respectful engagement. He sees people as humans, not instruments. His calmness is not weakness it is leadership. As Speaker, he managed the Assembly with dignity, stability, and predictability, proving that governance requires temperament, not theatrics.

In a time of division where APC is fragmented, PDP faces internal storms, civil servants feel fatigued, and youths feel unseen Salaam emerges as a bridge-builder. He is not a political warrior or an intimidator; he is a unifier, a healer, a steady hand.

Osun needs leaders who value people over power, empathy over ego. Salaam represents that rare possibility. Not perfection. Not saintliness. Just a balanced, emotionally intelligent, and competent leader ready to govern responsibly.

For me, that is why Najeem Salaam deserves serious consideration as Osun’s next governor a human face in leadership for a state craving stability, trust, and dignity.
