Hon. Wole Oke Pays Fees for 1,400 Students in Osun Technical Colleges
In a significant boost for technical education in Osun State, Hon. Wole Oke, Member representing Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency, has fully paid the fees of 1,400 students across the state’s nine government technical colleges for the 2025/2026 first-term session.
The payment, which covers terminal fees, lesson fees, development charges, and other sundry levies, aims to relieve parents of financial burden while ensuring that students continue their education without disruption.
According to the Public and Media Communication Unit of the Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency Office, which issued the statement, Hon. Oke’s intervention is part of his vision to promote technical and vocational education as a tool for youth empowerment, producing skilled innovators, job creators, and self-reliant young people.
School authorities and parents have expressed profound gratitude for the gesture. The statement quoted the office as saying:
“We sincerely appreciate your love, kindness, and generosity to our youths. Your support means the world to our students, and we pray Almighty God will continue to bless you and your family more and more. You are indeed a blessing to this generation,” the office said.
Principals from several colleges, including Gbongan, Ara, Iwo, Osu, Ile-Ife, and Osogbo, also conveyed their appreciation, praying for Hon. Oke’s continued success and well-being.
The intervention is widely regarded as a major step in uplifting technical education in Osun and supporting the state’s drive against unemployment, poverty, and social vices.
