Nigeria’s Unity Is Not in Question, Says First Lady Oluremi Tinubu

The First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has reaffirmed her confidence in Nigeria’s continued unity despite the country’s mounting challenges, saying the federation will not break apart.

Mrs. Tinubu stated this on Sunday at a Thanksgiving service held for the investiture of Most Rev. Sunday Onuoha as Archbishop on Special Duties at the Methodist Unity Cathedral, Abuja.

Represented by the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Bishop Stephen Adegbite, the First Lady said Nigeria’s stability ultimately rests in God’s hands and urged citizens to remain steadfast in prayer for the nation’s peace and progress.

“Nigeria will not disintegrate. Nigeria will remain one indivisible entity. God will be with Nigeria,” she said, expressing optimism that the country would celebrate Christmas in an atmosphere of peace and renewed hope.

Mrs. Tinubu further appealed to Nigerians to continue praying for the nation’s leaders and the Church, noting that spiritual support remains crucial at this stage of the country’s journey.

She congratulated Archbishop Onuoha on his elevation, wishing him success and divine guidance in his new assignment.
