AbdulRazaq Hails Police as 142 Constables Graduate from Training in Kwara

Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has commended the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies for their unwavering efforts in ensuring public safety and maintaining peace across the state.

The Governor’s remarks were delivered on Friday in Ilorin at the closing ceremony of a two-week intelligence and operational training programme for newly recruited constables, through his Senior Special Assistant on Security, Alhaji Muyideen Aliyu, who represented him.

A total of 142 police constables successfully completed the intensive training organised by the Kwara State Police Command. Governor AbdulRazaq pledged continued government support to bolster the capacity of security agencies in combating crime effectively.

He urged the new constables to uphold professionalism, discipline, and dedication, noting that their conduct would significantly shape public perception of the police. “Your engagement with citizens, your patrols, and reports contribute directly to the stability and security of our society. Always remain vigilant and committed to building public trust,” the Governor said.

The training exposed participants to critical areas such as threat assessment, source management, digital forensics, and community intelligence, which the Governor described as essential tools for modern policing.

Commissioner of Police, Kwara State Command, CP Adekimi Ojo, said the programme was designed to enhance professionalism, operational efficiency, and discipline among the recruits. He lauded the constables for their commitment throughout the training and urged them to apply the knowledge gained in their daily duties.

CP Ojo also acknowledged the financial and material support from Governor AbdulRazaq, describing him as a steadfast partner of the state’s security establishment.

The ceremony was attended by four former Assistant Inspectors General of Police – Baba Adisa Bolanta, Babatunde Ishola Babaita, Fimihan Adeoye, and Tokunbo Owolabi.
