Ndume Alleges Bribery in Aso Rock, Accuses Tinubu’s Aides of Blocking Access

Senator Ali Ndume, representing Borno South Senatorial District, has alleged that officials within President Bola Tinubu’s administration demand bribes from anyone seeking to meet the President.

In an interview with Arise TV, the senator described it as “nearly impossible” to secure a meeting with the President without going through intermediaries who allegedly ask for money.

Ndume also criticised the calibre of the President’s aides, referring to them as “Kakistocrats” and suggesting that the government is poorly managed. He said, “I don’t have a chance to see the President. The only time I can see him is when he is going to an event. This is how they run the government. I’m telling you, they don’t have competent people there. If you want to see the President, they will ask you how much.”

The lawmaker further revealed that his request to discuss financial matters with the President was stalled, accusing officials of “playing games as if they want you to go to heaven.”

Ndume’s allegations come amid increasing scrutiny of the administration, particularly following recent diplomatic strains between Nigeria and the United States.
