Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has been named Best Performing Governor in Nigeria by the Democracy Heroes Award Africa.
The award was received on his behalf on Thursday by the Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Abubakar Buba, who said the recognition was a validation of the administration’s strides in infrastructure delivery and inclusive governance.
According to Buba, the governor has executed 88 projects amounting to 785 kilometres across the state within 30 months in office, out of which 45 have been completed.
He described the feat as unprecedented in Kaduna’s history, crediting it to Sani’s policy of even development, transparency and people-centred governance.
Buba further disclosed that Governor Sani dedicated the award to the people of Kaduna State, stating that the mandate given to him provided the opportunity to deliver the projects that attracted the recognition.
He commended the organisers for acknowledging what he called the governor’s “measurable performance record” in less than three years in office.
