Taraba State governor, Dr Agbu Kefas, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to press freedom, good governance and infrastructural development

Governor Kefas, who made the commitment yesterday, when he received the president of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Alhassan Abdullahi Yahaya, at the TY Danjuma House in Jalingo, pledged his administration’s support to journalists in carrying out their constitutional duties.

The governor stated that his government was committed to establishing a solid foundation for sustainable development in the state through inclusivity, education, and infrastructure expansion.

He acknowledged the crucial role of journalists in nation-building and assured NUJ of his government’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for them to discharge their duties effectively.

“We are focused on uniting Taraba, upgrading infrastructure, and ensuring that the press plays a key role in our development journey,” Kefas said.

“My government is open to constructive criticism and welcomes collaboration with the media to ensure transparency and accountability.”
