Youth Applaud Senator as Osogbo Federal Medical Center Bill Advances
The Osogbo Patriotic Assembly (OPA), a youth organisation, has commended Senator Ajagunnla Olubiyi Fadeyi for his efforts in pushing the bill to establish a Federal Medical Center (FMC) in Osogbo, which is now moving toward Presidential Assent.
Comrade Abdulwasiu Babatunde Olatunji, leader of OPA, described the bill as a “significant milestone” that promises to transform healthcare delivery across Osun Central Senatorial District.
“This is not just for Osogbo but for all ten local government areas of Osun Central. If ratified, it will be a bill for humanity,” Olatunji said.
He added that the FMC will help reduce maternal and infant mortality rates and relieve residents from traveling long distances for tertiary medical care.
The development has been widely welcomed by stakeholders, who believe the establishment of the FMC will address longstanding healthcare disparities in the region.
