The Department of State Services (DSS) has alerted Nigerians to beware of Barry Donald, a dismissed officer allegedly impersonating the agency to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the DSS said Donald has been involved in “unscrupulous activities,” including falsely presenting himself as a DSS operative for fraudulent purposes.
The agency cautioned the public against engaging in any form of transaction or communication with him. The statement advised that any clarification or enquiry should be directed to the DSS through official channels.
“Members of the public are therefore advised to desist from any dealings with him,” the statement said.
For verification or complaints, the public can reach the DSS at 09088373515 or via email at dsspr@dss.gov.ng.
