Farotimi Hails Nnaji as Most Honorable in Tinubu’s Cabinet Following Resignation

Human rights activist Dele Farotimi has described Geoffrey Uche Nnaji, the immediate past Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, as the most honorable member of President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet.

Farotimi made the comment on X while reacting to Nnaji’s resignation.

Patriotic Insights News reported that Nnaji submitted his resignation letter on Tuesday following allegations of certificate forgery. Reports suggest that the former minister may have submitted forged documents during his screening process for the ministerial position.

In response to the resignation, Farotimi encouraged other government officials accused of forgery to take similar action.

He wrote:

“I don’t know him, and I no send am. BUT this guy is more honorable than every other person in the cabinet from which he has ‘honorably’ resigned. When is the aspiring Hitler of Obiakpor resigning, and would the honorable precedent be following suit?”
