Osun APC on Fire: Adedoyin’s Outburst Tears Oyetola Camp Apart, Omisore Gains Ground

— Ex-Commissioner Disowns Aregbesola, Says He’s Not Part of Omoluabi or ADC

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is in turmoil as Hon. Wale Adedoyin, a former commissioner under the Rauf Aregbesola administration, has publicly fallen out with the Ilerioluwa caucus loyal to ex-Governor Adegboyega Oyetola and realigned with former APC National Secretary and governorship aspirant, Senator Iyiola Omisore.

Adedoyin’s explosive outburst, which recently went viral on social media, has sent shockwaves through the APC structure in Osun, exposing deep-seated grievances and simmering mistrust within Oyetola’s political camp.

Contrary to speculations in some quarters, findings by Patriotic Insights News reveal that Adedoyin has long severed ties with Aregbesola and is not associated with the Omoluabi Progressives or the African Democratic Congress (ADC). Aregbesola himself has since exited the APC, further redrawing the lines of political loyalty across the state.

Reliable sources within the party disclosed that Adedoyin’s frustration stemmed from alleged marginalization and disputes over the sharing of local government allocations. “His anger didn’t come overnight,” one top APC insider told Patriotic Insights News. “He felt ignored by Oyetola’s loyalists and believed the LG funds were being unfairly distributed. That’s what triggered his outburst.”

The defection of Adedoyin to the Omisore camp, multiple sources said, signals a new wave of political realignment within the APC. “Omisore’s influence is growing again,” a party chieftain admitted. “Adedoyin’s move has emboldened others who feel shortchanged in Oyetola’s structure.”

A senior member of the party, who spoke on condition of anonymity, noted that the crisis has reached a boiling point. “The party is in big trouble,” he said. “For a long time, they’ve only been managing it, pretending all is well. But the truth is, it’s no longer manageable. The internal cracks have widened, and the leadership is struggling to keep the structure intact.”

Analysts note that the crisis underscores the fragile peace within the APC in Osun, which has struggled to regain cohesion since losing the 2022 governorship election and following Aregbesola’s formal exit from the party. As of press time, neither Adedoyin nor representatives of Oyetola or Omisore have issued official statements. Patriotic Insights News gathered that behind-the-scenes consultations are ongoing, but unless urgent reconciliatory measures are taken, the party risks a full-blown implosion that could reshape the political landscape ahead of the next elections.
