I’ll Win 90% of APC Votes, Deliver Osun for the Party — Omisore

Former Deputy Governor of Osun State and ex-National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Iyiola Omisore, has declared his intention to contest the 2026 governorship election under the APC, expressing strong confidence in his capacity to secure the party’s ticket and reclaim the state for the party.

Omisore made the declaration on Tuesday at the APC State Secretariat in Osogbo, where hundreds of party supporters gathered to endorse his ambition.

“If we go to the primaries today, I’ll win more than 90 per cent. By God’s grace, I shall emerge and deliver the APC government by next year, August,” Omisore declared to a cheering crowd.

The former lawmaker said his declaration was a signal of the preparedness of APC members across Osun to reposition the party and return it to power through unity and strategic mobilisation.

“APC’s chance in 2026 is 100 per cent. This is an internal show of strength ahead of our December primaries — a clear sign that the APC remains the people’s choice in Osun,” he added.

Omisore emphasised that his campaign would focus on rebuilding the state through education, agriculture, infrastructure, and youth development, while promoting a governance style anchored on discipline and accountability.

“Governance is not a dancing matter; it is a serious business meant for serious-minded people,” he said pointedly.

He urged the people of Osun to remain steadfast and vote massively for the APC in the forthcoming election, assuring them of purposeful and responsible leadership if elected.

Also speaking at the event, former House of Representatives member, Hon. Ajibola Famurewa, described Omisore as the most experienced and capable among the aspirants vying for the party’s ticket.

“With his political experience and grassroots reach, Senator Omisore stands out as the right man to lead the APC to victory in Osun,” Famurewa said.

The event was attended by APC members from all wards across the state, who expressed strong support for Omisore’s governorship bid ahead of the party primaries.
