Kebbi Governor Approves N43bn Revised 2025 Budget, Commits to Development

Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, on Thursday, signed the revised 2025 Appropriation Bill of N43 billion into law, following its passage by the State House of Assembly.

The Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Muhammad Usman Zuru, presented the bill to the governor at the Government House, Birnin Kebbi, in the presence of other members of the legislature.

Alongside the budget, the lawmakers submitted the adopted Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) and Fiscal Strategy Paper (FSP) for 2026–2028 for implementation. They also forwarded a resolution seeking the renaming of Government Day Secondary School, Tondi Tsamiya, to Sarki Muhammad Zayyanu Abdullahi Day School in honour of the Emir of Yauri.

Governor Idris, while confirming his assent, said the revised budget reflects the joint commitment of the executive and legislature to fast-track development and improve service delivery across the state.

He added that the N43 billion budget would support critical projects aimed at infrastructure development and ensuring that the dividends of democracy reach the people of Kebbi.
