Kwara Governor Recruits 2,600 Forest Guards to Crush Banditry

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, on Thursday approved the recruitment of 2,600 additional forest guards to tackle the rising wave of banditry and insecurity in the state.

A press release by the Governor’s Senior Special Assistant on New Media, Akeweje Olayinka Fafoluyi, made available to Patriotic Insights News, said the new recruits will join the 700 forest guards already deployed alongside security agencies in frontline operations.

Training for the recruits is set to begin this week. They will undergo advanced military drills, learn to handle sophisticated weapons, and adopt modern strategies to neutralize threats in affected communities.

The Governor’s renewed recruitment drive highlights his administration’s determination to strengthen security and restore lasting peace across Kwara State.
