From SAN to Service: Mbah Sets High Bar for Enugu Attorney General
Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has challenged the state Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Dr. Kingsley Udeh, SAN, to match his recent elevation to the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria with concrete improvements in the administration of justice. The governor, in a congratulatory message on his official Facebook page on Tuesday, praised Dr. Udeh’s dedication, integrity, and innovative reforms in the state judiciary, urging him to continue transforming Enugu’s legal system for the benefit of the people.
“Enugu is proud of you. I am proud of you. Keep pressing forward in service to our state and nation with distinction,” Governor Mbah wrote.
He attributed Dr. Udeh’s promotion to his steadfastness, intellect, and tireless work ethic, highlighting the various innovations he has introduced to improve judicial efficiency. According to the governor, Dr. Udeh has driven the digitisation of court records and the automation of court processes—from filings and cause lists to case-tracking dashboards—ensuring that matters move faster and justice reaches citizens promptly.
“Your elevation reflects not just personal brilliance, but also your unwavering commitment to justice and institutional reform. Your meticulous work ethic, intellectual rigour, and integrity have set a high standard for public service and for the next generation of lawyers,” Mbah added.
Dr. Udeh’s rise to SAN is a recognition of his significant contributions to legal practice and the reform of the judiciary in Enugu State. The governor’s statement underscores the expectation that the Attorney General will continue to deliver impactful results in line with his newly conferred status.
