Kano to appointees: Declare assets now
The Kano State Government has ordered all newly appointed political office holders to declare their assets with the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) without delay.
Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Umar Faruk Ibrahim, gave the directive at a capacity-building workshop for top government officials in Kaduna.
He said the move was designed to entrench transparency, prevent conflicts of interest and strengthen accountability in governance.
“By declaring their assets, political appointees demonstrate their commitment to upholding the principles of good governance,” the SSG said.
He added that Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s administration was determined to ensure that public officers maintain the highest standards of integrity.
All political appointees were therefore directed to immediately submit their asset declaration forms to the CCB.
