APC to PDP: Pack your bags, Osun is ours in 2026
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has told the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to prepare for defeat in the 2026 Osun governorship election, vowing to reclaim power with a resounding victory.
A party chieftain, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, said Osun people were fed up with PDP’s administration and eagerly awaiting the APC’s return.
He declared that pioneer National Chairman, Chief Bisi Akande, Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, and State Chairman, Tajudeen Lawal, would steer the party to unity and success at the August 9, 2026 poll.
“All our aspirants are qualified, but only one will fly the flag. Whoever emerges, we must all stand behind him. The 2026 election is not negotiable — APC must win,” Oyintiloye said.
The party’s State Working Committee has also issued tough warnings to aspirants and supporters against divisive campaigns and abusive language, stressing that discipline is key to victory.
Already, heavyweights such as NIWA boss Bola Oyebamiji, ex-Senator Babajide Omoworare, Dotun Babayemi, former Deputy Governor Benedict Alabi, Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi and Kunle Adegoke (SAN) are in the race for the ticket.
Oyebamiji, who has toured 21 local governments, said infrastructural renewal and grassroots empowerment would drive his agenda if elected.
“The reception everywhere has been overwhelming. Our people are ready to send PDP packing in 2026,” he declared.
