Aiyedatiwa Pledges Equitable Development, Assures Ondo Communities Won’t Be Left Behind
Ondo State Governor, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has assured that every community in the state will benefit from his administration’s development agenda, promising inclusive growth, improved security, and accountable governance.
The assurance was made public on Sunday in Akure through a statement made available to journalists by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan. The statement highlighted the progress of the “Our Ease” agenda and ongoing projects aimed at transforming every sector of the state.
“In the last several months, much has been achieved, yet we are only just beginning. By God’s grace, we shall not relent until every community in the state can feel the touch of development,” Governor Aiyedatiwa said, as quoted in the statement.
The Governor stressed that his administration is anchored on service, accountability, and progress. He described Nigeria’s Independence as a reminder of unity, responsibility, and the sacrifices of national heroes.
On security, he emphasized that it is a collective responsibility. “Security is the primary duty of government, but it is everybody’s business… Citizens’ participation is very key,” the statement added.
Governor Aiyedatiwa also commended the Church for promoting peace and morality and lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for reforms and infrastructural development, urging citizens to support the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Prince Adeniyan, in the statement, highlighted the administration’s achievements, including road construction beyond Akure, prompt payment of salaries and pensions, and other initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of all communities.
Dignitaries present at the thanksgiving service marking Nigeria’s 65th Independence anniversary included the Deputy Governor, Olayide Adelami; Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Olamide Oladiji; Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti; Chief of Staff, Prince Olusegun Omojuwa; members of the cabinet; lawmakers; and heads of security agencies.
