Omisore Declares War on Internal Sabotage, Commits to Party Repositioning

Former Deputy Governor of Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore, has declared war on internal sabotage within the All Progressives Congress (APC), promising to fully implement the recommendations of the Professor Isaac Adewole Repositioning Committee if granted the mandate to contest the 2026 governorship election.

In a statement obtained by Patriotic Insights News, APC chieftain Hon. Jamiu Olawumi dismissed claims that Omisore was plotting against Minister of State for Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, stressing that Omisore’s focus is on party unity and fair development, not personal attacks.

“Since former Governor Oyetola is not contesting, implementing the report is essential to prevent inequality, disparities, and nepotism,” Olawumi said. “The party needs strategy and unity, not hollow promises. The sky is wide enough for every bird to fly.”

A close ally of Omisore, Hon. Akinyele Akintola, also told Patriotic Insights News that the former deputy governor pledged to act on the committee’s recommendations, which were previously stalled by what some describe as a “Cult of Personality” within the APC, blamed for poor performances in the 2022 and 2023 elections.

Olawumi reiterated that Omisore is a friend of Oyetola and would never act against his interests. His mission, he said, is to ensure meaningful political and socio-economic development across all three senatorial districts of Osun State.
