Teachers Must Step Up, Parents Must Support — Osun SUBEB”
Osun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has called on teachers to show greater dedication to their duties and on parents to support their children’s education as the 2025/2026 academic session resumes.
The Executive Chairman, Hon. Ibukun Fadipe, made the appeal during a monitoring tour of schools across the state. He urged teachers to focus on improving pupils’ reading and writing skills, stressing that a committed teaching workforce is essential for nurturing informed and disciplined citizens.
Addressing pupils and teachers alike, Hon. Fadipe encouraged learners to take their studies seriously and reminded educators of their responsibility to ensure quality education. He highlighted the government’s investments in education, citing the recent distribution of instructional materials worth millions of naira to enhance teaching and learning.
He further appealed to parents to release their children for school and provide all necessary learning materials, including uniforms, to support their academic progress.
Hon. Fadipe was accompanied by Osun SUBEB Full-Time Member 2, Alhaji Tiamiyu Amaoo Ganiyu. Schools visited included LA Primary School A and B, Alusekere, Ede, and Seventh-Day Adventist Primary 1 and 2, Ede.
