Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda Will Make Abuja a World-Class Capital Says Wike

Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda Will Make Abuja a World-Class Capital, Says Wike

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, yesterday assured that Abuja will compete favourably with other leading cities across the world under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Wike, who spoke at the flag-off of the construction of Access Roads ILS 02 and ILS 03 (Timipre Sylva Street) in Mabushi District, Abuja, said the projects align with the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda for the FCT.

The minister expressed gratitude to God and lauded President Tinubu for his “love and commitment” towards transforming the capital city.

He said:

“We give God Almighty appreciation to be here to construct this all-important road. In terms of infrastructure, Abuja would compete with other known cities of the world. Let us continue to thank Mr. President for his love, for his commitment to make our city capital what it is supposed to be. Our duty is to encourage our people to ensure everything Mr. President has outlined is achieved through their support.”

Wike stressed that he and his team are only “agents” carrying out the vision and mission of President Tinubu in the FCT.

“We are here to implement Mr. President’s mission and vision. The Renewed Hope Agenda is for the people of Nigeria, and particularly, the Federal Capital Territory,” he added.

On criticisms that his administration is focusing too much on road construction, Wike responded:

“So many people have accused us of constructing roads. I said that’s one thing good. At least, you have identified that something is going on.”
