PDP releases list of sub-committees for November convention in Ibadan

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday unveiled members of the various sub-committees for its elective national convention scheduled to hold in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, from November 15 to 16.

The announcement was contained in a statement posted on the party’s official X handle. It said the sub-committees were approved by the National Convention Organising Committee (NCOC) on behalf of the National Executive Committee (NEC).

According to the statement, the committees will oversee accreditation, security, electoral processes, accommodation, transportation, protocol, publicity, entertainment, welfare, and medical arrangements for the convention.

The list was endorsed by NCOC Chairman and Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.

Governor Ademola Adeleke will chair the Accommodation Committee, with former Gombe State Governor, Ibrahim Dankwambo, as deputy chairman. Governor Dauda Lawal will lead the Accreditation Committee, while Governor Douye Diri heads the Contact and Mobilisation team.

Former Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel, chairs the Constitutional Amendment Committee, while Fintiri himself chairs the Electoral Committee with Adeleke as his deputy.

The Medical Committee is chaired by former Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, and the Entertainment and Welfare team is led by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.

Other chairmen include Governor Bala Mohammed (Publicity), Governor Kefas Agbu (Security), Governor Seyi Makinde (Transportation), and Governor Caleb Muftwang (Protocol).

The party said the convention will elect new national officers to pilot its affairs.
