Adeleke Commends Osun PDP Growth, Praises Ward Congresses

Governor Ademola Adeleke has lauded the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State for its ongoing restructuring and expansion, describing the party as a strong and trusted political force across the state.

In a statement issued after the successful completion of the statewide ward congresses, the Governor expressed satisfaction with the party’s growing influence, despite recent political controversies. He said his unscheduled visits to several communities across the state reaffirmed the people’s confidence in the PDP and his administration.

According to Mallam Olawale Rasheed, the Governor’s spokesperson, Adeleke said:

“During recent unannounced visits to different parts of the state, the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Osun people recognize that our party and government not only intend well but have consistently delivered effective governance across key sectors of the economy.”

He described the PDP as a “party of the people” committed to the aspirations and interests of Osun residents, noting that the party has received widespread endorsements from various groups. Rasheed quoted the Governor as saying that no other party in recent state history has enjoyed such broad-based grassroots support.

“In recent months, unsolicited endorsements for our party and government have become almost weekly. All critical sectors of Osun society have expressed support for the PDP and our leadership. The party has strengthened locally and expanded its reach, standing today as the most popular political party in Osun,” Rasheed added.

Governor Adeleke congratulated the state PDP leadership and members on the peaceful conduct of the ward congresses, commending Sunday Bisi-led leadership, the Stakeholders’ Forum, and his Chief of Staff for their role in consolidating the party’s influence.

He assured Osun residents that his administration would continue prioritizing both hard and soft infrastructure projects through 2026 and beyond.
