INEC Confirms David Mark, Rauf Aregbesola as Leaders of ADC
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially recognised Senator David Mark as the National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), bringing an end to months of leadership disputes within the party.
The electoral body also confirmed former Osun State Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, as the party’s National Secretary. The announcement followed an update to the party’s official records on Wednesday in Abuja, reflecting the composition of the new National Working Committee (NWC).
Other members of the ADC NWC include Dr Mani Ibrahim Ahmad as National Treasurer; Akibu Dalhatu as National Financial Secretary; and former Edo State Governor, Prof. Oserheimen Aigberaodion Osunbor, as National Legal Adviser.
INEC’s recognition signals a formal resolution to internal conflicts that have previously threatened the cohesion of the party, giving the Mark-Aregbesola-led leadership a mandate to advance the party’s objectives ahead of the 2027 general elections.
