Osun Poly Shuts Down Final-Year Festivities Over Student Indiscipline
The management of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, has suspended the ongoing Final-Year Brethren (FYB) celebration with immediate effect, citing students’ inability to maintain proper decorum during the festivities.
In a memorandum issued on Monday, September 8, and signed by the Registrar, Abiodun O. Oloyede, the polytechnic directed all full-time students to proceed on examination break to prepare for the second semester examinations of the 2024/2025 academic session, scheduled to commence on Monday, September 15.
The Registrar further instructed students to vacate the institution’s premises immediately and ensure proper registration where necessary.
“All students are to comply with the provisions of this memo in their own interest,” the statement added.
