Delta ADC Chairs Local Committees, Urges Members to Uphold Party Discipline
Delta State Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Engr. Austine Okolie, has inaugurated five Local Government Coalition Committees across the state’s three senatorial districts, urging members to avoid anti-party activities and remain committed to the party’s mission.
Speaking in Asaba over the weekend, Okolie called on members to register and secure their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs), stressing that political objectives cannot be achieved without active participation in the electoral process.
He reminded members that the ADC’s symbol, the Handshake, embodies unity, trust, and the vision of a “new Nigeria.” Okolie warned against indiscipline, emphasizing that party positions are earned through grassroots engagement, hard work, and dedication—not through propaganda or desperation.
Members were encouraged to focus on contributing positively to the growth of the party, with assurances of equal opportunities for all committed participants. A notable moment of the event was the Chairman leading attendees in the ADC anthem, celebrating the party’s role in shaping a new Nigeria.
The inaugurations across Delta’s senatorial districts were overseen by Vice Chairmen Mrs. Chiwe Ejidoh (Delta North), Hon. Obus Doughor (Delta Central), and Apostle Amos Peremene (Delta South). They called on members to actively mobilize followers to join the ADC’s Nigeria Rescue Mission, highlighting the urgent need for good governance and national development.
