NCPC to Launch 2025 Easter Pilgrimage on September 14
The Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) has fixed September 14 for the commencement of the delayed 2025 Easter Pilgrimage to Israel and Jordan. The inaugural flight will take off from Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport in Owerri, Imo State.
Speaking in Abuja, Executive Secretary Bishop Stephen Adegbite said the Commission has taken all necessary steps to ensure a smooth and successful pilgrimage. This included a full inspection of the pilgrims’ aircraft in Antalya, Turkey. Atlasjet, the approved air carrier, assured that the Airbus 350-seat plane is fully equipped to transport pilgrims safely and comfortably.
Bishop Adegbite reiterated the Commission’s commitment to due process and the enforcement of its standards, highlighting its corporate philosophy of “Service and Satisfaction.”
Atlasjet’s Executive Director, Mr. Serkan Yazicioglu, also assured the Commission that the airline has prioritised the safety and well-being of the Nigerian pilgrims.
