Maulud Nabiyy: Adeleke Urges Muslims to Renew Commitment to Peace and Prosperity in Osun

The Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has called on Muslim faithful across the state to embrace peaceful cohabitation and reflect on the enduring message of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) as the Muslim community marks this year’s Maulud Nabiyy.

In a statement, the Governor’s spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, said, “Governor Adeleke congratulates the Muslim Ummah in Osun State and beyond on the marking of this year’s Maulud Nabiyy. He urges all faithful to prioritize peace, harmony, and compassion, reflecting the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him), whose birth brought divine guidance to humanity.”

Highlighting the timeless lessons of compassion, selflessness, and harmony exemplified by the Prophet, Rasheed added that the celebration presents an opportunity for spiritual reflection and for strengthening bonds of fellowship within communities.

Governor Adeleke noted that the Prophet’s teachings were not only a guide to spiritual fulfilment but also a roadmap for building a just and harmonious society. “His message of compassion and selfless giving remains timeless, uplifting the vulnerable and fostering an environment of love and peace,” Rasheed quoted the governor as saying.

The spokesperson further said the governor prays that the occasion will bring peace, blessings, and renewed commitment towards a prosperous Osun State, reaffirming his administration’s dedication to religious harmony as a cornerstone for enduring peace and stability.
