Senator Oluremi Tinubu Donates ₦500 Million to Support Adamawa Flood Victims

The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated ₦500 million and essential relief materials to victims of the recent flood disaster in Adamawa State, which claimed over 25 lives and displaced hundreds across Yola South Local Government Area.

The donation, made through the Federal Government’s “Renewed Hope Initiative”, was presented on her behalf by the wife of the Vice President, Hajiya Nana Shettima, who led a federal delegation to Yola. The event brought together members of the Adamawa State Executive Council, the State House of Assembly, and affected residents.

Hajiya Shettima said the gesture reflected the First Lady’s compassion and commitment to supporting Nigerians in times of crisis. She reiterated the administration’s determination to stand with communities facing natural disasters.

Adamawa State Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, expressed deep appreciation to Senator Tinubu for her timely intervention and for remembering the state in its time of need.

Beneficiaries also thanked the First Lady, describing the support as both “timely” and “impactful” in helping them rebuild their lives.
